LOVE this paper - LOVE LOVE LOVE it - I had an idea in my head and then saw a layout I liked elsewhere, so the two ideas came together in this:

What I am doing rather than school work :)
After making the page for the scrap challenge, I still had all this great paper on my desk and started putting some of it together - I love the unexpected mix here. Echo Park's Wintertime Line and Echo Park's Be Mine Line to make something vintage inspired. This was one of our engagement photos taken in Boston. I'm really enjoying the colors in this one! Now I must go work on my Political Science paper.

Scrap Challenge
I made this layout tonight for a Scrap Challenge - I have been so consumed with school work and the shop that I just needed to take a little break and scrap :) The challenge was to "scraplift" another page that was posted. I used the basic layout it offered, only changing a few small things.

Crop Room Painting Featuring Hero Arts Stamp
My mom painted this on the wall and then had a great idea to stamp a flower. I had some Hero Arts stamps and one of them was perfect for this!
Come crop with us soon and enjoy this great space! :)

The Final Stages
Figuring out what will look best where....
COZY!
Awww the old Paper! Paper!
All set up!
Can't wait to see you all here! Thanks for being such wonderful customers. I never imagined expanding and even after I knew about the extra space being available, it took me months to make that big decision. It was the best decision! It is open, airy, light, and cozy!
We are looking forward to hosting!

Paper Wreaths
I have been wanting to make more paper wreaths but just haven't had the time. When school is over in March I will have alot more time on my hands to craft. So until then, here is some inspiration that I would like to share with all of you:
(These ideas were all featured on Scrapbook Etc.'s website)
Cover with Loose Paper Curls
Design by Maria Charbonneaux
Instead of adhering tightly wrapped paper curls to your wreath, hot-glue one end of the strip to your wreath and pull the other end of the strip out to form a loose curl. (Wrap your paper strips around a pencil to get these great curls).
Create a Color-Block Design
Design by Ashley McGraw
For a striking effect, group strips of patterned paper by color, and design the wreath in sections.
Try an Artsy Design
Design by Meredith Jinks
Weave curled strips of patterned paper and ribbon around the wreath, adhering the loops with hot glue. Add buttons to the tops of paper loops for a simple accent.

Love Is In The Air
With Valentines Day just around the corner, I thought I would share with you some great ideas from Scrapbook Etc.
Create Texture on a Valentine's Day Card
Design by Lisa Spangler
Lisa layered strips of patterned paper and stitches to create dimension on her valentine. A ribbon bow tied around the card front coupled with a thread tie at the front of her button accent complete the design.
(We have this great notebook paper edge punch in the shop!)
Use Scraps of Patterned Paper to Make Colorful Page Embellishments
Design by Amy Licht
Amy designed this layout to showcase pictures of her daughter making valentines for her class. She layered hearts cut from scraps of patterned paper by boosting them with adhesive foam.

Expansion Day 1 & 2
It is coming along pretty quickly in our scrapbook shop. We are going to be closed again tomorrow so we can finish up the painting. I wanted to share the progress with all of you:
Couldn't wait to get rid of the purple! I like purple, but never been a fan of it on walls
Couldn't wait to get rid of the purple! I like purple, but never been a fan of it on walls
We painted a base coat of a darker yellow, then covered it with this creamy yellow - love!
Painted to where the crop room/workshop space will begin
Crop/Workshop Room color - blue
Purple is almost gone!!!!
No more purple! :)
Oooo I love it - I find it so calming - An image will be painted on the large blue wall to the right
There will also be a half wall between the retail space and crop space - Still have the back room and bathroom to paint and fix up - new toilet and sink vanity!
Hope you can all see scrapping happening here! I can't wait to have permanent workshop space!

Paper Flowers
I made these paper flowers yesterday and just love them. I started with the big one but then made the mini for scrapbook pages and cards. Love the big one for tags! These are so fun and now I have moved onto making some fabric flowers for embellishments also (I'll post those after I add the leaves)
I used Basic Grey Jovial for the big one and Echo Park Be Mine for the little guy.
