Hello Everyone!

This weekend is CHA, a huge scrapbook and paper crafting trade show held in LA.  I am receiving tons of emails on new product coming in 2011.  I am also seeing lots of pictures and videos of different company's booths - Beautiful - But my favorite by far is DCWV - Thank you Lori for sending me the pictures!  I have been dying to make one of these paper dresses but this is just incredible!

Tween Girl's Night Artist Tray

I completed the sample for the Tween Girl's Night Artist Tray project to take place on March 5th.  It was really fun and I think the girls will really like it.  We'll have so much fun I'm sure - We're starting out with an ice breaker so the girls get to  know each other and then we'll be onto crafting!  Pictures will be inserted into the blank 4 x 6 spaces:

Hero Arts Sneak Peek

Here is a little peek at SOME of the stamps coming in on Wednesday from Hero Arts:

And The Decorating Begins....

So, soon enough we will be expanding into our new space!  I have the colors picked out for the front of the store and our crop/classroom space.  I hope it is well liked.  We have plans for a painting on the wall in the crop space done by none other but my fabulous mom and tonight, I bought curtains!  Cute?  I love how cheery they are!  I want our space to be like a second home.  I have seen LOTS of classroom and crop spaces online and none of them appeal to me.  They are usually bland and of course I loathe fluorescent lighting, which I always see.  So I am going the opposite way.  Cozy, calm, cheery, and comfortable - The 4Cs?  And of course my dad will be building a few pieces for the space with his wonderful woodworking skills.

We have some awesome stamps coming from Hero Arts - January is their busiest time of year with orders so we are hoping to have them soon!  We also put in an order for Cricut Mats!  All you Cricut owners should be happy to hear that.  Artist trays will also be coming in for our Tween Artist Tray night on March 5th!  Can't wait to decorate the sample.  I'll post when I'm done :)

Hope everyone is well... As for us, it has been raining all day ... I think we will see the sun tomorrow.... then another snow storm on Friday.  I like snow, but this might be a tad much :)

Another Storm Coming Our Way

It seems as though we have another storm coming our way in the morning.  This time, snow, sleet, and freezing rain.  I love snow, but I can do without the ice.  I have had a short break from school (seems shorter than it has been) but classes resume tomorrow.  I am taking two fast paced courses and will be done by the end of March.  I'm looking forward to that, but I know this is going to be crazy, especially since we are expanding in February and offering lots more classes and crops in March.  I'm ready to take on the challenge and enjoy the time I get to spend with our fantastic customers.  I would love for Paper! Paper! to become like a second home where our customers can spend time being creative!  Be safe on the roads tomorrow and happy crafting!

Major Snow Storm!

Well it was just beautiful yesterday.  I got outside at 6:30 to dig my husband out so he could go to work for 8am.  He arrived safely and since the store was closed yesterday I worked on a project I had been wanting to do for some time.  I love paper and I also love fabric for the same reasons I think.  The patterns!  So, this is what I came up with as the snow fell outside:

I always hand stitch from start to finish.  I don't even own a sewing machine.  The owl is stitched around by hand as is the pillow square hand stitched.  I feel like the pictures don't do it justice - it is so cute in person!  I used the Cricut to create the owl.

The sidewalks are now clear here and the parking ban lifted.  Here are some pictures:

I just thought this last picture was fun... Welcome to Paper! Paper! :)

Valentines Treats

I have been busy using the new Be Mine Line from Echo Park.  You really must see the paper in person.  They are all double sided and such yummy colors to work with.  It is a romantic Paris/Love theme.  Here are some cards I've created:

I had this SO in love with you stamp that I bought ages ago.

Hope everyone's New Year has been fantastic so far and Happy Crafting!

Inventory = SALE

Today my husband and I completed almost an entire count of the store inventory.  With that, will come a sale to say goodbye to some and hello to more.  That's a win win in my book.  You get great discounted items and we get to bring in new product.  Over the next couple weeks I'll be working on that project.  We'll be sure to announce when items are marked down and ready to be shopped so keep a lookout for the announcement!

New Years Resolution - Organization?

For many people, their New Years resolution is to get organized.  I saw this on Better Homes and Garden's website and think this is so creative!  This is a Wall Louver (about $7) that is usually used for ventilation in your home.  This is the before picture:

A New Year - New Fun

Happy New Year!  We certainly had a fun night with lots of food and great friends.  I always love ringing in the New Year downtown Northampton.  With the new year, I made some resolutions.  I'm actually keeping them so far, but then again it has only been a few days :)  I need to exercise more for sure, but I also have a really full email inbox that is screaming at me, so I have started to delete and sort.

We are looking forward to the changes at Paper! Paper! for the New Year.  We have big news and we are excited to get to share it with all of you, but not quite yet!  We also have so many plans for classes, crops, and other fun gatherings through the year and carrying a wider variety of  merchandise!  We are looking forward to sharing it all with you.

See you all soon!
